Return and Refund Policy
Effective Date: June 20, 2026
At Meat Master LA, we are committed to providing fresh, high-quality products and dependable service.
Because meat, poultry, seafood, prepared foods, marinated products, and many of our other products are perishable, returns and refunds are subject to strict food-safety requirements.
1. Perishable Products
For health and safety reasons, Meat Master LA does not accept physical returns of perishable food products after they have been delivered or collected.
All sales of the following products are generally final:
- Meat
- Poultry
- Seafood
- Marinated products
- Prepared foods
- Salads and appetizers
- Frozen products
- Refrigerated products
- Custom-cut products
- Specially sourced products
- Other perishable goods
This does not prevent a customer from submitting a valid claim for a product that was missing, incorrect, damaged, spoiled, defective, or unsafe when received.
2. Reporting an Order Problem
You must inspect your order immediately after delivery or pickup.
Contact Meat Master LA within 24 hours if:
- An item is missing;
- You received the wrong item;
- The product or packaging is damaged;
- The product appears spoiled;
- A perishable product arrives at an unsafe temperature;
- The order is materially different from what was confirmed;
- There is another quality or fulfillment problem.
Claims submitted more than 24 hours after delivery or pickup may be denied because Meat Master LA may be unable to confirm how the product was stored, handled, or prepared after receipt.
3. How to Submit a Claim
Send your claim to:
Please include:
- Your full name;
- Your order number;
- The delivery or pickup date;
- The name of the affected product;
- A clear description of the problem;
- Clear photographs of the product;
- Photographs of the packaging and label;
- A photograph of the temperature reading, when applicable.
Meat Master LA may request additional information reasonably necessary to evaluate the claim.
Do not discard the affected product or packaging until the claim has been reviewed, unless keeping the product would create a health or safety concern.
4. Temperature and Food-Safety Claims
Perishable products should be cold when received. Meat, poultry, seafood, and similar refrigerated products should generally be at or below 40°F.
If a product arrives above 40°F or appears unsafe:
- Do not taste or consume it;
- Photograph the product and packaging;
- Take a temperature reading when possible;
- Contact us within 24 hours;
- Dispose of the product when necessary for safety.
A temperature reading alone may not automatically determine eligibility for a refund. Meat Master LA will review the delivery circumstances, product condition, packaging, photographs, and other available information.
5. Available Resolutions
After reviewing an eligible claim, Meat Master LA may offer one or more of the following at its discretion:
- Replacement of the affected product;
- Store credit;
- Partial refund;
- Full refund of the affected product;
- Refund of the affected portion of the order;
- Another reasonable resolution.
A full refund of the entire order will not normally be issued when only one item or part of the order is affected.
6. No Return of Unsafe Food
Customers should not transport or ship spoiled, leaking, contaminated, temperature-abused, or potentially unsafe food back to Meat Master LA unless specifically instructed to do so.
Photographic evidence may be accepted instead of a physical return.
Meat Master LA reserves the right to request that an unopened or non-hazardous product be returned when reasonably necessary to review a claim.
7. Customer Preference and Natural Product Variations
Refunds or replacements are generally not available because:
- You changed your mind;
- You ordered the wrong product or quantity;
- You did not like the taste or texture;
- The product did not match a personal preference;
- The product was prepared or cooked incorrectly;
- You expected a different degree of marbling, fat, size, color, shape, or texture.
Meat and other natural products may vary in appearance, weight, marbling, fat content, shape, and texture. Reasonable natural variation is not considered a defect.
8. Products Sold by Weight
Certain products are priced according to their final prepared weight.
The weight shown online may be an estimate. A reasonable difference between the estimated and actual weight does not qualify for a refund.
The final charge may be adjusted based on the actual prepared weight.
Contact us within 24 hours if you believe there was a material weighing or billing error.
9. Custom Cuts and Special Orders
Custom-cut products, catering orders, specially sourced products, large-quantity orders, personalized butcher requests, and other made-to-order products are final once preparation or sourcing has begun.
Deposits and preparation fees for custom or special orders may be nonrefundable.
A refund or replacement may still be considered when the product was prepared incorrectly according to the confirmed order instructions or was defective when received.
10. Order Cancellations
Cancellation requests must be made as soon as possible.
An order may only be canceled when:
- Meat Master LA has not started preparing it;
- The product has not been cut, marinated, packaged, or specially sourced;
- The order has not been dispatched; and
- Meat Master LA approves the cancellation.
Once preparation or delivery has begun, the order cannot be canceled.
Approved cancellations will be refunded to the original payment method.
11. Delivery Issues
Meat Master LA may deny a refund or replacement when the problem resulted from:
- An incorrect or incomplete delivery address;
- An incorrect telephone number;
- Missing gate or access instructions;
- The customer or recipient being unavailable;
- Failure to respond to the courier;
- A customer-requested unattended delivery;
- Failure to retrieve the delivery promptly;
- Failure to refrigerate or freeze products promptly;
- Theft or damage occurring after successful delivery;
- Improper storage or handling after delivery.
If Meat Master LA or its delivery provider delivers an order to the wrong address despite receiving correct information, please contact us within 24 hours so the matter can be reviewed.
12. Delayed or Failed Deliveries
Delivery times are estimates and may be affected by traffic, weather, courier availability, emergencies, or other circumstances.
A delay does not automatically qualify an order for a refund.
If a delay materially affects the safety or quality of a perishable product, contact Meat Master LA within 24 hours of receipt.
If Meat Master LA is unable to fulfill or deliver an order, we may cancel the affected items and issue a refund or store credit.
13. Pickup Orders
Customers must inspect pickup orders promptly and store perishable products safely after collection.
Meat Master LA is not responsible for deterioration caused by:
- Delayed pickup;
- Leaving products in a vehicle;
- Exposure to heat;
- Failure to refrigerate or freeze products;
- Improper transportation after pickup.
Pickup-related claims must be submitted within 24 hours.
14. Non-Perishable Merchandise
Unused and unopened non-perishable merchandise may be eligible for return within 14 days of purchase when:
- The item is unused;
- The original packaging is intact;
- Proof of purchase is provided;
- The item was not marked final sale;
- The return is approved by Meat Master LA.
Delivery, service, and handling fees are nonrefundable unless the wrong or defective item was provided.
15. Gift Cards, Promotional Items, and Final-Sale Products
Gift cards are not refundable or redeemable for cash except where required by California law.
The following are generally nonrefundable:
- Gift cards;
- Reward cards;
- Promotional credits;
- Clearance products;
- Final-sale products;
- Complimentary products;
- Free promotional items.
When an order is refunded, any promotional discount may be deducted from the refund amount. Promotional codes and reward balances may not be restored.
16. Refund Processing
Approved refunds will be issued to the original payment method whenever possible.
Please allow approximately 5–10 business days after approval for the refund to appear. Processing times depend on the customer’s bank, card issuer, or payment provider.
Meat Master LA cannot control delays caused by financial institutions.
Cash purchases may require an in-store refund and proof of purchase.
Refunds cannot be issued to a different card, account, or individual from the original purchaser.
17. Delivery and Service Fees
Delivery, courier, service, shipping, and handling fees are generally nonrefundable after the service has been performed.
These fees may be refunded when Meat Master LA determines that:
- The order was not delivered;
- The delivery was canceled by Meat Master LA;
- An error by Meat Master LA caused the charge;
- Applicable law requires a refund.
18. Fraudulent or Abusive Claims
Meat Master LA reserves the right to deny a claim when it reasonably believes that the request is fraudulent, misleading, abusive, duplicated, or unsupported.
Repeated refund claims may require additional verification or may result in restrictions on future orders.
